Ferrari World: The Ferrari of Amusement Parks

Ferrari World

Ferrari is a worldwide brand synonymous with precision, performance, and unparalleled elegance, and for over a decade, that has included an amusement park built in the tradition of the brand. Located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World opened its gates in 2010 and is a largely indoor amusement park that hosts the world’s fastest roller coaster. Named the “Middle East’s Leading Tourist Attraction” in 2015 and 2016 and the “Middle East’s Leading Theme Park” in 2017 and 2018, Ferrari World is an exquisite experience, proving that wherever Ferrari goes, excellence follows.

The World’s Fastest Roller Coaster: Formula Rossa

Whether you’re a Ferrari aficionado or a roller coaster enthusiast, it should come as little surprise to learn that the fastest roller coaster in the world is found at Ferrari World. The Formula Rossa is capable of accelerating up to 240 km/h (149.1 mph) and can travel 52 meters upward in just 4.9 seconds, earning it the Guinness world record as the fastest roller coaster.

The Formula Rossa has held the title of world’s fastest roller coaster since it opened to the public in November 2010.

Roller Coasters & Attractions at Ferrari World

While the Formula Rossa debuted with Ferrari World, it’s been joined by 4 more roller coasters — with a fifth on the way.

  • Fiorano GT Challenge
  • Formula Rossa Junior
  • Flying Aces
  • Turbo Track
  • Mission Ferrari (currently in production)

You’ll find thrill rides, family rides and kids’ rides at Ferrari World, ranging from go karts to an actual Ferrari driving experience. Visitors to Ferrari World will also find some traditional theme park rides as well, including a teacup ride and a flight simulator.

Talk Ferrari with Ferrari Lake Forest

We love Ferrari for the decades-long history of elegance and performance their automobiles have brought to the world, but we’re grateful that Ferrari hasn’t kept their style confined to the auto world. There’s a reason people refer to the best of the best being “the Ferrari of” their industry, and Ferrari is the Ferrari of luggage, attire, theme parks, and more.
