What Is Scuderia Ferrari?

Scuderia Ferrari is the racing division in Formula 1 for Ferrari. Scuderia Ferrari won its first race in Formula 1 in 1951 with the 375 F1 single-seater. Engineers at Scuderia Ferrari made the 375 F1 single-seater consume less fuel than its competitors which allowed it to gain time during pit stops. That same level of creativity and engineering can be found today with the Scuderia Ferrari F1 race team.

Here are some facts about the Scuderia Ferrari F1 race team:

  • Headquarters: Maranello, Italy
  • Team Chief: Frédéric Vasseur
  • First Team Entry: 1950
  • Chassis: SF-24
  • World Championships: 16
  • Number of 1st-Place Pole Positions: 244
  • Pole Positions: 249
  • Fastest Laps: 259

Formula1 Races in the United States

There’s nothing quite like getting up close to a Ferrari F1 car in person, but what Formula 1 races are in the United States? F1 has risen in popularity in the states, but between 2008 and 2011 there were no races held in the U.S. entirely. If you want to support Scuderia Ferrari at an F1 race, below are the tracks in the U.S. currently hosting races, including the most recent F1 racing Las Vegas:

Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix

Formula 1 returned to Florida at the Miami International Autodrome in 2022 for the second time. The only previous Grand Prix in the state was held at Sebring in 1959, a race in which Ferrari did not take part. The circuit itself is temporary, so once the race is done, all of the infrastructure is removed.

Formula 1 United States Grand Prix

F1 returned to the U.S. in 2012 at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, also known as the United States Grand Prix. This 56-lap track was purposely designed with F1 racing in mind and offers fans great seating to see the action up close.

Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix

In 2023, F1 racing Las Vegas returned for the first time since 1983. The Grand Prix was an adrenaline rush from start to finish and did not disappoint. According to team principal Frédéric Vasseur, Formula 1 Las Vegas delivered a show that everybody was expecting, “well done to Formula 1 as this was one of the best races of the season.”
