A Timeline of Ferrari Production

  • In 1947, Enzo Ferrari unleashed a trio of models on the world, with it growing substantially as the years have gone on.
  • In 1950, Ferrari produced a total of 26 vehicles.
  • By 1960, the total was up to 306 per year.
  • The 70s saw an explosion in popularity and production with 928 in 1970 and 1,246 in 1971, the first year over 1,000 Ferraris were produced.
  • With the 1,000-model threshold past them, the 80s saw annual production continue to rise, with 2,470 in 1980.
  • 1990 brings us closer to the modern age, and while 4,309 were produced in that year, production decreased significantly over the decade, dropping as low as 2,353 in 1993.
  • The turn of the millennium brought Ferrari production nearly to where it was in 1990, with 4,072 models produced in 2000.
  • 2010 brought us closer to the current annual total, with 6,573 Ferraris produced that year, and the decade brought caps in production at 7,000 in 2013.

Ferrari sold over 10,000 models for the first time in 2019, and the total produced from 1947-2019 comes in at about 220,000.
