Ferrari 849 Testarossa Spider

The Ferrari 849 Testarossa Spider brings the newest generation of Ferrari plug-in hybrid performance into an open-top layout. Its mid-rear twin-turbo V8 works with three electric motors to deliver a combined 1,050 cv, all-wheel drive capability, and immediate response across a wide range of driving conditions.

The Spider body style adds a retractable hard top that can open or close in 14 seconds at speeds up to 45 km/h. With the roof lowered, the model keeps the aggressive stance and technical shape of the coupe while adding a more direct connection to the car’s sound, airflow, and road feel.

The 849 Testarossa Spider uses the latest evolution of Ferrari’s twin-turbo V8, producing 830 cv on its own at 7,500 rpm. Three electric motors add up to 220 cv, bringing total system output to 1,050 cv and helping the Spider deliver all-wheel drive response with torque vectoring from the front axle.

This plug-in hybrid architecture supports eDrive, Hybrid, Performance, and Qualify drive modes. The high-voltage battery also allows short electric-only driving, useful for quiet departures, low-speed city travel, and moments when immediate electric response adds another dimension to the car’s character.

The cockpit places the driver low in the car with a horizontal dashboard, a focused digital interface, and steering wheel controls designed for quick adjustments without taking attention from the road. A floating center section with a gated-style selector gives the cabin a technical link to Ferrari tradition.

With the hard top lowered, the interior becomes part of the performance experience. Seat choices include comfort and carbon fiber racing designs, while upholstery, stitching, trim, and carbon fiber elements can be configured to create a specification that feels personal without softening the car’s purpose.
